2010 Yamburgan Bull Sale Preview

Yamburgan Bull Sale - 25th August 2010 - 1PM - On Property
 

Again, this year, the Yamburgan bull sale draft offers clients an opportunity to purchase new genetics with new sires used in the Yamburgan herd.

This year see's the first sons of the highly anticipated sire, The Grove Oscar. He will be heavily represented in the sale and has produced bulls very similar to his sire, Lockyer and perhaps carrying more muscle.

The first spring drop sons of Narralda Aladdin will be offered and his sons display tremendous weight for age, length and width. He is the sire of the 2009 Grand Champion Shorthorn Bull at the Brisbane Royal Show.

Yamburgan Diamantina 20th is bred along similar lines to Weebollabolla Theodore and is producing low birth weight, soft easy doing cattle.

The Grove New Legend Z58 has bred a very consistent line of well muscled, deep hind quartered bulls of moderate frame.

Yamburgan Mittiebah 3rd and The Grove Lockyer X857 are again represented in the catalogue with some of the pick sale bulls being offered by these two great sires.

All bulls offered for sale will be independently assessed, semen tested, fully vaccinated for Pestivirus, Vibrio and 7 in 1 and have full Breedplan data. Raw data for EMA, fat depth and scrotal size will be available on a supplementary sheet on sale day. If you would like a supplementary sheet prior to the sale please contact us.

2010 Yamburgan Bull Sale Preview

 

Yamburgan Ossie D59 (PS) (DOB 7.7.08) by TG Oscar A748 X Y Viola 8th. A great package of performance and pedigree. A 3/4 brother sold last year to Weebollabolla for $9,000. Viola is still in production at 12 yrs of age with perfect feet, udder and is one of the most fertile. Offering two packages of 25 straws.

 

Yamburgan Ossie D96 (P) (DOB 20.7.08) by TG Oscar A748 X Y Margaret 31st (same G’dam as Y Churchill). D96 was used heavily in the spring last year and as a sire in this years ET programs, a bull we think highly of. His dam is part of our donor program.

 

Yamburgan Jafar D104 (P) (DOB 22.7.08) by N Aladdin A048 X Y Moira 128th (Mittiebah 3rd). This genetic mix has blended very well. A very balanced bull with great structure and performance. A bull we strongly recommend, stud sire potential.

 

Yamburgan Ossie D807 (P) (DOB 6.9.08) by TG Oscar A748 X Y Jill 142nd (Theodore). The highest Heavy Domestic and Export Maternal indexing two year old bull in the breed. A deep bodied bull with a lot of muscle. Stud sire potential.

 

Yamburgan Lockyer D368 (P) (DOB 19.8.08) by TG Lockyer X857 X Y Cloudy 391st, the dam of Mittiebah 3rd. He was used in the spring of last year, a bull with a pedigree to breed on. He scanned highly for EMA and IMF within his contemporary group.

 

Yamburgan Jafar D174 (P) (DOB 13.8.08) by N Aladdin A048 X Y Matilda 58th (Eionmor Ideal). D174 has the best muscle pattern we have seen on the yearling bulls. He was also used in the spring and also used as a sire in our ET program.

 

Yamburgan Poesidon E11 (P) (DOB 20.1.09) by TG New Legend Z058 X Y Jill 191st (Goldmine). A great carcase bull, deep flanked, strong topped and soft. Jill 191st is a young cow with a very neat udder, her dam has three full ET sisters all breeding well in the herd. A strong female line.

 

Yamburgan Ossie D83 (H) (DOB 15.7.08) by TG Oscar A748 X Y Margaret 24th, the dam of Y Churchill C26 who we retained last year and was Res Senior Champion Bull at the 2009 EKKA. A great mix of performance figures and pedigree.
