2009 will be the last year Warenda will be holding an On-Property Bull Sale. This year sees the last opportunity to purchase bulls by some of the leading sires of the Santa Gertrudis breed. We would like to thank all our supporters over the last 12 years.

Our sale bulls have been bred to perform in all commercial situations, range of environments and markets right across Australia. The sale draft has bulls that will suit the vealer producer right through to bulls that will suit the grass fed Jap Ox market. The bulls in this years sale draft are on of the best groups of bulls we have offered and has not been affected by scaling back our operation. Bulls will still be available privately from Wilgaroon in the years to come and will offer the same breeding criteria that you have come to expect from us.

Two of the leading lots are sons of Wilgaroon Kokoda (P). Lot 1 Wil­garoon Casablanca (P) and lot 2 Wilgaroon Comanche (P) are both being ex­hibited at Brisbane Royal. Kokoda (P) was sold as a 6 year old sire at our recent Female Reduction sale to S Kidman & Co for $10,000. Wilgaroon Jester (P) has produced another leading son, Wilgaroon Cheetah (P), who will also be exhibited at Brisbane and is lot 3.

The bulls have been prepared solely on forage crop and natural pasture and are presented fit and ready for work. We find that when bulls are prepared on forage crop the health of their rumen allows them to continue to do well on natural grass country under many conditions.

All bulls offered for sale have been independently assessed, semen tested, fully vaccinated for Vibrio and 7 in 1, have full Breedplan data and have been GeneSTAR tested.
