MA BEEF
Ma Beef was launched in 2009. The launch was the final step in developing Manchee Ag into what we believe is a true paddock to plate enterprise.

MA Beef is high quality, grass fattened beef which is high in Omega 3 essential fats. Unlike grain fattened beef which is high in Omega 6, a fat that we have too highly concentrated in our diets.
John Ackland's Boggabri Butchery
The Launch
In mid 2009 we launched MA BEEF exclusively with the Boggabri Butchery. John Ackland, of the Boggabri Butchery and Manchee Ag have set up an alliance to supply award winning MA Beef to the North West area.
We love breeding genetics, but a better carcase is our ultimate goal. Every carcase has been accessed and tested for meat quality. All carcases have sire and dam parentage. There is no doubt the Mittiebah/Theodore cattle joined to Lockyer/Aladdin sires are the best returning and eating carcases.
After a string of major beef taste test awards and carcase competition wins in the last 10 years, it was decided to trial the idea of supplying the local district with a consistent quality beef product. John Ackland has owned and operated the Boggabri Butchery since 1998. He is a self confessed 'accidental' butcher that has been in the industry for over 24 years. He first worked as a butcher in South Australia managing a butcher shop and this is where his love for selling quality meat started.
John believes that a product will do its own selling. People will and do travel to buy a quality product. 'I believe that word of mouth is the best marketing tool in my business especially when the product is right." Mr Ackland said.
