John Playing Polocrosse

John and Liz play Polocrosse for the Galloping Gully Club which is based 25 km north of Narrabri. Our club colours are brown and white and our carnival is held on the 2nd weekend in August every year. In 2005 Galloping Gully hosted the Interstate Challenge between NSW and QLD. 2006 Season

The 2006 season has now started and the first carnival we went to was LIghtning Ridge. John played 'A' grade on Kirkby's Stud Twist with an outstanding result. The team won 'A' grade and John was awarded best number 2. A great weekend was had by the 2 gully teams.

2005 Season

John began the 2005 season on Wallah Monty and after winning the Best and Fairest award at Charleville he decided to start playing Kirkby's Stud Twist (pictured below). John and Twist were extremely successful, although she only went to 6 carnivals they received 3 best number awards.

Twist is pictured right playing her first carnival at Tamworth in June 2005. Twist is by Warrenbri Omega and out of Kirkby's Stud Chandette who is by Elliotts Creek Cadet. John say's that Twist is by far the best horse he has ever ridden. View Twist's pedigree at the ASH Online Studbook.
