EBV's used for the Durham Tropical™ breeding program are generated from the Shorthorn Database as the original dams were shorthorn. The purebred Santa Gertrudis sires displayed will have their Santa Breedplan figures. Please be aware of the difference in breed averages.

Sir Lancelot is one of the best Landlord sons we have bred. He is a very structurally correct bull with excellent muscling and is a soft easy doing bull. He gets arround his cows well and is a highly virile worker. He is a purebred Santa bull displaying all the characteristics we are looking for in our Durham Tropical cattle.

Dunkurk is an extremely thick bull with an outstanding temperament. He is out of the outstanding cow in Sapphire, the dam of Murrumbo Beaumon (P) a sire that has been very influential in the breed. Sapphire is the dam of 15 calves, 14 classified. He is a purebred Santa bull displaying all the characteristics we are looking for in our Durham Tropical cattle.

D580 is an outstanding calf with a pedigree to match. He is an ET calf out of Sapphire who is still going at over 19 years of age. She is the dam of 15 calves, 14 classified. D580 has acquired a lot of his structural correctness attributes from his dam and is a quiet, clean sheathed, poll bull. His first calves are long, slick skinned with neat underlines. D508 broke his front leg as a yearling bull. He had always been one of the best bulls for the year drop so the decision was made to keep him. He is the only sire we are using by the legendary Tyndale Noddy. We believe Noddy crossed with Mexico will work extremely well. He is pictured here at 18 months.
